The world’s largest costumiers began life in 1840 when Morris Angel started dealing in second-hand tailoring from Savile Row.
Frequented by actors who had to buy their own costumes, the company then began loaning outfits for the run of a play. Angels has supplied costumes for films, plays and television productions, winning countless Oscars for costume design on films including Dr Zhivago, The Great Gatsby, Henry V and, more recently, Marie Antoinette and Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Members are invited on an exclusive tour of the warehouse to learn more about the company’s history and see the endless array of extraordinary costumes.
