Skinners' Hall, City of London
- What:Membership Events
Skinners’ Hall is the home of the Worshipful Company of Skinners, one of the City of London’s great livery companies which was originally an association for those engaged in the trade of skins and furs, but whose principle activities are now education and charitable trusts.
The Hall itself is a Grade I listed building dating from 1670, when it was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London. Members will be given a tour covering the history of the Skinners’ as a trade guild, the move to Skinners’ Hall in 1295 and its expansion after the great fire, as well as a look at the artworks and architectural detail of the building.
