Vintners’ Hall has origins steeped in the history of the City of London and the import, regulation and sale of wine, and is still known as the UK wine trade’s “spiritual home”.
The site was vested in the company by the will of Guy Shuldham in 1446. The Hall itself burned down in the Great Fire of London, but rebuilding was completed in 1671. Members will be given a tour of the building focusing on its history, architecture, alterations and artworks.
External Visit: 11.00 – 12.30
