Trompe L'oeil: The Art of Illusion
- What:Membership Events

Join painter and muralist Tom Errington as he explores the concept of illusion in art. He will discuss the way the eye accepts information and how a painting can appear either three dimensional or simply as a flat representation.
Looking into the theory of perspective and the role that colour, tone and shadow play in trompe l’oeil paintings, Tom will include key examples of the technique through the work of Correggio, Crivelli, Tiepolo and his own pieces.
