The College of Arms is the official repository and regulatory body for heraldry and genealogy in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Commonwealth. Situated on the site of a medieval house called Derby Place, the present building largely dates from the late seventeenth century.

Members will be conducted on a tour of the Earl Marshal’s Court, the Waiting Room and the Record Room, where they will see some of the vast body of official records and other historical manuscripts, dating from the late middle ages to the present day. The tour will be taken by Clive Cheesman, Richmond Herald, one of the officers of the College, and will conclude with a glass of wine.
