SEMINAR: Thomas Chippendale is arguably the most famous figure in the history of British furniture, a master of the Rococo and Neo-Classical styles.
He worked on numerous stately homes including Temple Newsom, Harewood House and Nostell Priory, and his pattern book, The Director, went through three different printings and became a by-word for elegance in design. Find out about Chippendale’s career, his style, and his major commissions.
