The most impressive of his films noirs, made with a nod to American cinema, Italian neo-realism, and traditional Filipino star-driven melodrama, here the vice-ridden nocturnal underground of 1970s Manila is laid bare.
Before each screening we will show three queer-themed clips from the 1920s to the 1960s, courtesy of British Pathe.
