SPECIAL EVENT: Enjoy a demonstration of a clay drum kit, made by Keith Harrison Ceramics Resident at the V&A. The drum kit is based on one used by Keith Moon, the flamboyant drummer of The Who.

In 1967 Moon used cherry-bombs to explode the drum kit on live TV during a performance of My Generation. The V&A owns three toms from a similar kit once used by Moon, which Harrison used as his starting point. Harrison will detonate the clay drum kit in this ‘live firing’ public demonstration.

Moon, the clay drumkit by Keith Harrison will be on display in Room 104 until 20 April.

Attendees should expect a loud bang. Not suitable for children under 12
