GALLERY TALK: Explore Beatrix Potter with Frances Willis.
Beatrix Potter was a regular visitor to the V&A and during her preparation for The Tailor of Gloucester (1903) she was inspired to copy some of the Museum’s 18th-century costume collections in exquisite detail. Compare the striking resemblance of her sketches and watercolours to key pieces found in the backgrounds and foregrounds of the tale.
