Parkstead House was built for the 2nd Earl of Bessborough by the royal architect William Chambers circa 1760.

In 1860 the Jesuits purchased the building and renamed it Manresa House. From 2004 it has been home to Whitelands College, the oldest female college in the country. Edward Burne-Jones, William Morris and Philip Webb are just a few of the people who have bestowed beautiful gifts on the college. Members will be given a private tour providing an insight into its fascinating history, with the opportunity to view a selection of the collection.
