- What:Membership Events
- Where:The Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre
For nearly half a century Roy Strong has been at the forefront of the arts world in Britain.
Yet remarkably little is known about his life prior to the Swinging Sixties, when he burst onto the scene as the revolutionary young director of the National Portrait Gallery. In conversation with Chris Fletcher, Keeper of Special Collections at the Bodleian Library, Sir Roy will discuss his lasting influences and his debt to such luminaries as CV Wedgwood, Frances Yates and Cecil Beaton.
