- What:Membership Events
- Where:SC, Hochhauser
Van Gogh’s use of sunflowers has formed some of the world’s most iconic and loved paintings.
Writer and leading specialist on the artist Martin Bailey tells the story of how Van Gogh completed the four Arles still-lifes in just under a week, in anticipation of Gauguin’s arrival in the Yellow House. He will also look at the later adventures of the paintings, revealing how the two most important versions survived during the Second World War.
