PERFORMANCE: Metta Theatre presents Alice-the story of the real life Alice Liddell who inspired Lewis Carroll’s literary classic Alice in Wonderland.

While bombs fall outside in 1915, Alice takes refuge in her cellar, where she rediscovers her childhood amongst the broken toys of her past. As the objects around her come to life, animated by the spirit of her own son, we are transported to a magical world of talking rabbits, mad hatters and savage queens. This poignant new play is brought to life by Metta’s trademark mix of theatre, puppetry and object manipulation.
