FAMILY EVENT: Pick up a design challenge, hunt for ideas in the galleries, then create your own design with help from our friendly team.

Please note from April onwards Drop-in Design will take place in the new Learning Centre on Level 3.

Sunday 27 April - Easter Holiday Programme
Join us to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth during the Easter holidays as part of the V&A's Shakespeare Festival. Design the enchanted wood from A Midsummer Night's Dream on the Imagination Station, help Bottom solve the mystery of the woods in Pop-up Performance, stage and perform your own animated version of a Shakespeare play using our iPads in Digital Kids and experience love and magic in A Midsummer Night's Dream with the acclaimed theatre company Shakespeare 4 Kidz. Sunday 4 May - The Imagination Station (also Saturday 3 & Monday 5 May)
Drop-in Design will not be running on 4 May but the Imagination Station will be available in the Grand Entrance. Explore the galleries, share your Museum memories and seal them in a bottle.

Sunday 11 May - Pop up Playgrounds
Families imagine what it would be like if the V&A was their playground and they could play on all the fabulous furniture, objects and sculptures. Families design and make pop-up playgrounds displaying all the objects they would like to slide down, bounce on, climb up or play on.

Sunday 18 May - Dragon Puppets & Fans
The Emperor of China invites you to festival celebrations at the Imperial Palace. Explore the galleries to see beautiful treasures and discover hidden dragons, before designing and making your own dragon puppet or beautiful fan.

Sunday 25 May & 1 June - May Half-Term Programme
Join us for a half-term full of activities inspired by William Kent. Explore Glorious Gardens across the V&A, design a garden for a grand house, meet William Kent - a famous 18th century designer of houses and gardens and grow your own digital garden.

Sunday 8 & 15 June - New activity!
Explore drawing with wire in the galleries.

Take part in an activity about journeys as part of Refugee Week.

Sunday 29 June - Cabinets of Curiosity
Explore the museum to discover curious treasures. What do they have in common? Consider colour, materials, function and shape. Select and collect objects and artworks to create your own Cabinet of Curiosity.
