SEMINAR: Created with high aesthetic principles Japanese gardens are often abstract and stylized works of art fertile with meaning and purpose.
Explore the history of the many types of Japanese garden from Roji (tea gardens) to Karesansui (Rock Gardens). Consider how the elements from rocks and sand to water and bridges were placed to facilitate contemplation and meditation or recreation and aesthetic pleasure or ceremony and the meeting of minds.
