SPECIAL EVENT: Historical references in contemporary design can be seen around us everyday, be it for practical effectiveness, as pastiche or just pure kitsch.

With the idea of the V&A as a playful three-dimensional 'source book', and with a nod to subcultures such as the New Romantics, Tainted Love will visualise romantic themes within hybrid objects, cultures and movements in an alternative Valentine's evening that offers participatory live art experiences, engaging discussion and daring performance.

Tainted Love is curated by Kingston University's MA Museum & Gallery Studies students in collaboration with their colleagues from MA Communication Design: Illustration.
