LUNCHTIME LECTURE: In conversation about M.F. Husain (1915-2011) - one of the most celebrated and internationally recognised Indian artists of the 20th century.
Indian Civilization, his final work, is a series of monumental triptych paintings representing the artist's vision of the richness of Indian culture and history. Curator Divia Patel will give an illustrated introductory lecture on Husain and his work, followed by an 'In Conversation' with Mrs Usha Mittal, who commissioned Indian Civilization, about how these ambitious paintings came to fruition.
