Jeremy Musson, architectural and social historian, author and broadcaster, talks about his latest study of English country house drawing rooms, their history and their function as a formal reception area for the dining room.

He will take us to some of the most historic drawing rooms at Kedleston, Newby Hall, Eastnor Castle and Alnwick Castle - as well as twentieth-century examples by Nancy Lancaster and David Hicks - and unpick the significance of their design and decoration.
