Members will enjoy a trip to Lamport Hall and Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire.
One of the finest historic houses in Northamptonshire, Lamport Hall is famed for its John Webb classical façade. It Magnificent collection is eclectic, ranging from fine English, Italian and Flemish art and furniture to historical pieces such as 'lampy', believed to be the first garden gnome in the world. Member will enjoy a tour of the house and collections. Following a two-course lunch , Members will visit the nearby Kelmarsh Hall, once home to the twentieth-century tastemaker Nancy Lancaster. The "English Country House style" is strongly reflected in both the designs within the hall and the gardens.
