FAMILY EVENT: Journey across the V&A with fantastic stories, games and multi-sensory materials. Choose from Back-packs, trails or, for the under 5s, an Agent Animal bag.

Available every day 10.30–17.00, last pack given out at 16.00. Also available from the Main Entrance during most school holidays including October half-term and Christmas holidays.

Back-packs
Our award winning activity back-packs are recommended for 5-12 years. Choose from:

• NEW: An Adventure in China
Journey to ancient China to see dragons and an Emperor's throne, write your age in Chinese and make a delicious cup of imaginary Chinese tea to serve to your family.

• Discovering Architecture
Created with Architect Mike Davies from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, learn about architectural drawings, colour, 'connecting spaces', light and materials, then construct a model and draw your own building.

• Emperor's Party
Imagine you are an Indian Emperor preparing for a spectacular party

• Fancy Furnishings
Learn what life was like for a rich lady and gentleman in Georgian Britain

• Magic Glasses
Explore the colour, design and shape of decorative glass

• Middle Eastern Marvels
Explore amazing geometric patterns and discover special treasures from palaces and mosques

• Time Traveller
Discover everyday life in Medieval Europe including what people wore, how they wrote and what they ate and drank

Agent Animal - for under 5s
Search the museum to find 6 animals hiding in the Japan, China and South Asia Galleries. Agent Animal contains audio buttons and four fabric sensory jigsaw cubes.

Trails
Pick up a free family trail from the Sackler Centre and set off to explore the Museum through puzzles, drawing and observation games.
•Pick up a Glorious Gardens trail to be led around the museum by our very own ceramic gardener and design your own garden.
•Silver – Find objects made of Silver and discover what the symbols stamped on them mean
•Tudor – Find out about Henry VIII and see the objects you might have found in his palaces
•Picnic Party – Come and plan the perfect picnic as you journey through South Asia, the Middle East and East Asia
