FAMILY EVENT: Explore the V&A's collections through drawing and making activities. Choose a challenge, hunt for ideas in the galleries then create and make your own designs as a family - from fantasy doors to fancy hats.

The Emperor of China invites you to festival celebrations at the Imperial Palace. Explore the galleries to see beautiful treasures and discover hidden dragons.
Sunday 28 April - Crazy Costumes
Albert the Alien needs a crazy costume. Families read the story of Albert landing on earth and then explore the Museum to find objects for his costume.
Sunday 5 May - Extraordinary Structures
Make extraordinary structures inspired by shapes, surfaces and patterns you find in the Museum (inspired by the Heatherwick Studio exhibition).
Sunday 12 May - This Is My Room (activity designed by Lauren Child)
Explore all the fabulous fabrics, furniture, objects and textiles in the galleries and then design Clarice her perfect room.
Sunday 19 May - Pop-up Playgrounds (activity designed by Abberant Architecture)
Families design and make pop-up playgrounds displaying all the objects they would like to slide down, bounce on, climb up or play on.

Celebrate our David Bowie is exhibition with a range of activities.
Sunday 9 June - Parade of the Animals
Search the museum for animal features that you can use in your mask, headdress or cape. For example; the large ears of an elephant, a tigers bold stripes or the long curly whiskers of a cat.
Sunday 16 June - World of Windows
The Sultan is building a brand new Summer house in his palace gardens. Look out for geometric shapes and beautiful patterns to inspire your very own unique design.

Sunday 23 June - Lively Letters
Search the Museum for unusual letters, you will find them on lots of surfaces including glass, tapestry, ceramics and marble, as well as in old hand-written books. Then create your own marvellous monogram masterpiece!
Sunday 2 June - This Is My Room (activity designed by Lauren Child)
Have you ever dreamed of your perfect room? Clarice Bean does every day because she shares her room with her younger brother, Minal Cricket. Explore all the fabulous fabrics, furniture, objects and textiles in the galleries and then design Clarice her perfect room.
