'The Bath' was developed under the brief where one was asked to create a silent narrative, inspired by 3 self-selected objects from the V&A, given portrait of a woman and a theme of panic...
The Bath is a story about transformation and an enigmatic reality behind the closed doors. It is set in an old orphanage where children never stop their cry. Many of them are involved in an ambiguous ritual of collecting their heavy tears of solitude. At first the ritual's meaning is unclear but soon the bizarre truth behind it is revealed and we learn that the tears are crucial to the survival of one of the secret residents... the mermaid.
My submission is a small selection from the whole narrative.
