This project is an attempt to review the process of map making. These maps are of remembered connections, between settled places, and their relative distances. They expand across the page with varying confidence and portray gaps in experience and recollection. Blank space surrounds familiar routes and reflects ways in which an individual inhabits a place, illustrating patterns of behaviour. The process of cartography in this project has been stripped of it's primary aim, which is to give unfaltering, trustworthy information. They instead give only a vague and very personal sense of direction, but also have become images that record a small history.
