‘Cheol-E’s Trip'

‘Cheol-E’s Trip'

'Cheol-E's Trip' is a children's book that features a
personified sign at the Hanok Village of Gahoe-dong in
Seoul. The book is about the journey of Cheol-E, the
sign for an old ox bone soup restaurant run by an old
lady, when he escapes from Gahoe-dong and wanders
around the city to find his true self. It delivers the
message that appreciating your own value and treating
yourself well is more important than achieving luxuries
in life and going after what others want.

The 'Cheol-E's Trip' poster is made by composing images of my picture book. I expressed Cheol-E's journey on a single page through collage techniques. I tried to depict the image of the city where the traditional sceneries of Hanok village in Gahoe-dong coexist with flashy commercial streets.
