Silvia Weidenbach invites you to attended The Meeting of Two Creative Minds: Silvia Weidenbach and Jon Emmony, a Special Open Studio at her V&A artist studio on Saturday 17 February. During this Open Studio Silvia will be talking about her exciting new project, Visual Feast, a display that will open in the V&A’s Gilbert Galleries in June 2018. As part of this display Silvia is collaborating with world renowned digital artist and art director, Jon Emmony .

Jon Emmony  is an image and film maker who graduated with a degree in Photography and was SHOWstudio’s Digital Art Director from 2011 to 2016. He regularly experiments with different technological methods of image making, including using the Xbox Kinect as a motion-capture / 3D scanning device, as well as pursuing image making through other 3D technologies. He has worked on various exciting projects with ,any exciting people including; Iris van Herpen, The Horrors (Universal Music), and Nike. While Digital Art Director at SHOWstudio / Nick Knight he worked with the likes of Beats by Dre, Kanye West, Alexander McQueen and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Silvia’s interests in the analogue and digital toolbox alongside Emmony’s experimental digital art will no doubt lead to an extraordinary combination of skills and creativity. Come and see behind the curtain as these two creative minds bounce off each other and work together to form ideas for a collaborative digital project that will showcase at the V&A!

The Open Studio will be held in Silvia’s Artist Studio in the Sackler Centre for art education, Level 1, between 13.00 – 16.00. It is free and drop in so pop by!
