I am Isma Benboulerbah, a passionate Muslim feminist activist. I have been working for many years on programmes and advocacy actions focusing on ending harmful practices and gender-based violence. I focus on diasporic communities and the taboos around virginity myths, harmful practices, social justice, and the instrumentalization of bodies by the patriarchal and racist systems. I have worked on issues like FGM, virginity testing and forced marriage in practicing communities globally, but specifically in Europe. I ensure that my analysis always has an intersectional and feminist approach, which is the best response to the patriarchal and racist system we live in.
