How to register with the National Art Library from Friday 8 July

National Art Library
July 1, 2022

We’ve heard that many of our new readers have experienced issues with setting a password when signing up to the library so have worked with our system provider to find a solution. From Friday 8 July, our registration form will look a little different.

When registering for a library account, you will need to enter a memorable 4-digit number. This number will form part of your password. On submitting the form, you will receive an email with a random five-character sequence that will combine with your four numbers to make up your password. Once logged into the library catalogue, you will be able to change your password to something more memorable.

(There is no need to re-register if already signed up to the library.)

The National Art Library holds the UK’s most comprehensive public reference collection of literature on the fine and decorative arts, including books, journals, exhibition catalogues, graphic novels, artists’ books, e-resources and much more. It’s free to join and anyone can search the library catalogue here.
