National Art Library roof works commence!

November 13, 2019

We recently blogged about the works taking place on the National Art Library’s glass roof.  We are replacing some of the glazing and timbers to keep the roof looking as wonderful as it has done for over a century and to keep the Library’s collections water-tight.

Visitors to the Library and the Museum will have seen that the scaffolding is going up, marking the beginning of this ambitious project.  The works are all on schedule and the first scaffolding tower is due to be completed by the end of November.  The scaffolding will cover approximately 850 square meters of the elevation of the building by the time it is all in place! More pictures to follow as the project progresses.

If you have any comments or questions about the project, please do get in touch.
