The Digital Programmes team at the V&A has joined Tate Digital Learning to curate MozEx, an art exhibition with a 21st-century twist at Mozilla Festival (MozFest).
The MozEx exhibit explores links between art, society, and the digital world. Created by both individual practitioners and cross-disciplinary collaborations, it will explore the value of art to society through Web literacy, digital inclusion and accessibility, privacy, policy, and hacking.
Open call for artists, designers, creative technologists, makers, coders, scientists, visual journalists — from techies to newbies! We are inviting submissions of original artwork that relates to our lives online.
Submissions can be mixed-media, photography, video, games, animation or moving images, visual art, graphic design, or sculpture. Although the work may be performative or 3D in origin, it will be exhibited on screens and must be submitted digitally. The set-up and curation of the exhibit will be done through an exploration of DIY solutions, mainly working with a variety of screens, open-source technology and experimenting with layouts.
The submission deadline is August 1st, 2016. For more information and to apply, please visit the MozEx page.
