My studio is open to the public at certain times and in addition there are regular surprise visits from various groups who are on official tours of the V&A. Today it was a group of museum officials from Taiwan who enjoyed making Edinburgh hallmarks using the two presses that I borrowed from the Museum of Scotland. I thought children would love to press the images of Edinburgh Castle and of a thistle into thin discs of aluminium but I find adults enjoy doing it even more than children.
