The interface we use to stiffen the fabric serves as the backbone of the eventual piece, making all the difference in its precision. How many hands does it take to translate thousands of laser-cut polygons onto fabric? Well, at least an extra 10. A few to iron the interface onto the jersey, a few more to cut the jersey out and all of them to sew the pieces together, bit by bit. It is a mighty slow but rewarding process. A long tunnel with a big light at the end, for we can finally see the final pieces coming together. ‘Dream-Land’ is coming up.
Infinite thanks be to Ewa, Helena, Lily, Gemma and Von. We salute you!
