What do you Treasure?

Treasure Community project

What do you treasure?

How do you care for things that are important to you?

We’ve got so many precious and valuable objects in the Museum. There are sparkly jewels, incredible marble sculptures, exquisite miniatures and amazing paintings round almost every corner. The building is like one giant treasure box waiting to be discovered.

This summer Dante or Die Theatre actors have been working with two Westway Development Trust community groups to create a new Pop-up Performance for families, inspired by the V&A and our collection, called ‘Treasure’. The Thursday morning Parents’ Group and Pimento Community Project visited the Museum to seek out treasured objects and have transformed their experiences into a brand new play for families to enjoy.

We’d love people to come along and see the performances.

The piece will be premiered at the following venues:

Monday 11 August, 16.00, Café Nova, Westway Development Trust, Thorpe Close,  W10 5XL (nearest station Ladbroke Grove)

Tuesday 12 August, 13.00 and 15.00, Victoria and Albert Museum, Medieval and Renaissance Galleries, Room 50a, Cromwell Road, London, SW7 2RL

All are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.
