If you love museums and have ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the V&A, then you need to mark 24 – 30 March 2014 in your diary. We are joining up with hundreds of museums and galleries across the UK and Europe to take part in Twitter’s very first #MuseumWeek. We’ve got some exciting plans for the week and our themes for each day will be revealed soon, but for now, here’s a little preview of what’s in store.

We’ll be chronicling a day in the life of our staff, revealing what it’s like to work at the world’s greatest museum of art and design. And if you love our beautiful building, keep your eyes peeled for some sneak peaks at parts of the Museum that the public rarely get to see. Not to mention all of the fascinating facts we’ll be sharing about our long history.

There will be plenty of chances for you to get involved – share your Museum memories, take some inventive Museum selfies and let us know how the V&A inspires you. Be ready to put your thinking caps on as we are devising some fiendish quizzes to test your V&A knowledge, with prizes for our Museum masterminds.

We’ll also be carrying out a Twitter Q&A with Roisin Inglesby, Assistant Curator of our upcoming exhibition William Kent: Designing Georgian Britain. Have you ever wondered how an exhibition is made? Or do you want to know more about the master of Georgian architecture? Well now is your chance to ask an expert. Simply Tweet your questions to @V_and_A using the hashtag #AskTheCurator. Roisin will be answering as many as she can on Friday 28 March.

And stay tuned after Roisin’s Q&A, as we will be posing some of our own questions to the man himself @SignorKentino.
