A unique experience combining a Museum Highlights tour and Afternoon Tea at Tatha Bar & Kitchen
Beginning with the tour, you’ll explore the museum with one of our expert guides.
Exploring the outside of the building you’ll discover how pioneering technology and engineering were used to create the museum. The museum, designed by architect Kengo Kuma is the first of its kind and unique in the world.
The tour then moves inside to the Scottish Design Galleries, home to 300 exhibits, including the fully restored Charles Rennie Mackintosh Oak Room. Throughout the galleries you’ll learn about Scotland’s design history and its international significance, from 1500 to the present day.
Following the tour, enjoy your freshly prepared Afternoon Tea at Tatha Bar & Kitchen. The savouries, sconelets and delectable sweet treats are served with unlimited tea and spectacular views across the River Tay.
Tour & Tea is served every Friday afternoon. Tour begins at 13.30 followed by Afternoon Tea at 14.30. Meet at the welcome desk in the Locke Hall 10 minutes before the time on your ticket.
Please note advance reservations are essential, we are unable to take bookings on the day.
