Open Thu - Mon
Entry to the museum no longer requires a ticket.
We are still limiting numbers for visitor safety and might have to ask you to come back later if the museum is full.
Members don’t need to book, just show your card on arrival.
As ever, your visit will give you access to our Scottish Design Galleries, and the breathtaking design of Kengo Kuma’s architecture, along with a range of free displays:
Thinking Out Loud, a 10m-wide billboard hand painted by Cobolt Collective, an all-female street art collective with a shared belief in instilling positive change through their work and in turn, the communities with which it is created. The design is inspired by the city’s much loved Olympia Swimming Pool, which previously stood on the site of the museum.
Making Room, a major project with Turner Prize-winning architecture collective Assemble, our current designers in residence, including a new interior space co-designed with a group of young people from Dundee, exploring the fabric of the city that surrounds us.
What if…?/Scotland, originally designed to be staged in Venice as part of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, Venice Biennale. This co-design project asks communities from across Scotland to share their hopes and dreams for the future of the places they call home.
You can also enjoy a foodie treat at Tatha Restaurant, grab and go from our takeaway offer or pick up your very own design memento from the Shop.
