Faces of Lochee

An artistic response of local recovery stories

Faces of Lochee is a small, community-organised exhibition of paintings representing the portraits of individuals in recovery. The programme was designed by Pamela McLaughlin and developed in conjunction with other services to be delivered by Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action (DVVA) within the hub using a multi-agency approach.

The recovery program aims to help people in recovery to build their confidence and reduce the stigma of mental health and substance use. The pieces have been created by the local artist Gordy Craw, and capture people`s progress through art.

All paintings in this exhibition will be auctioned off to raise funds for the individuals to assist their recovery journey. Click here or more information on the auction and to place a bid.

The exhibition also includes a piece by Jessica Willets, titled “An Outcry”, a community-based artwork produced in response to grief, expressing outrage at the loss of life connected with addiction in the city.
