Orikalmi

Supporting wellbeing through culture, nature and craft

Orikalmi is a new series of trails that have been developed specifically to support positive mental health and reduce anxiety and depression. By taking individuals on a gentle, creative journey around the city centre gardens, waterfront and V&A Dundee, the trails aim to provide time to reflect on one’s surroundings, as well as personal thoughts, feelings achievements and goals.

To reach those who would benefit most, Orikalmi is not freely available in the museum. Instead, if you are a group leader or work with people who are actively looking to support their mental health, please get in touch and the trails can be collected from the museum or posted out directly.

Orikalmi was created by students in a collaborative project between V&A Dundee and University of Dundee’s Schools of Art & Design and Medicine.
