Explore how high quality fabrics play a vital role in British manufacturing
Leading waxed cotton fabric innovators Halley Stevenson talk about their 150-year history of manufacturing waxed textiles in Dundee, and designers of Scottish adventure travel bags Trakke reflect on what inspires them and discuss the importance of using high quality British materials.
With a different focus each time, this monthly event explores Scotland’s rich design history. The series will look at historical examples of design, as well as how history influences contemporary designers. Most sessions feature two speakers making fascinating connections between the past and present.
