During the 19th-century, the Zuloaga family of Eibar, Spain, perfected the art of decorating iron with beautiful patterns of gold and silver. They spearheaded a European revival of the technique that led to their works being described as 'a triumph of the metallic art'. This small display shows three of their masterpieces alongside some of the items that inspired them including flamboyant 16th-century armour, weapons and household goods from Italy, Spain, Egypt and Syria.
