Society for Renaissance Studies - Annual Lecture photo

Drawing on exciting examples from the V&A's Renaissance collection and other seminal works, this lecture will be a deep dive into Renaissance ornamenti from the early fifteenth-century onwards. In terms of poetics and metaphor, discover how the way we discuss and view ornaments has changed over centuries, and learn about the vast development in the materials - metal, stone and clay - that is used to create them.
