This one-day course provides the opportunity to gain an HSE-issued certificate proving competency in identifying, purchasing and using DCM-based products to remove surface coatings. Following a thorough demonstration covering all aspects of precaution and correct usage, all participants will take an online assessment to certify the use and the purchase of these products.

Course overview

The course covers the principles for the safe use of DCM-based products for removing surface coatings, including identification of the coatings to be removed, hazards of DCM and routes and symptoms of exposure, selection and purchase of DCM-based products, and risk assessment for using a DCM-based product for removing surface coatings.

At the end of the training course, delegates will take the online competence assessment. All delegates who pass the competence assessment will be provided with an HSE-issued certificate as evidence of their competence.
