Join us to hear more about our new national schools programme V&A Innovate and explore the importance of design skills for the future. Hear talks from leading educational specialists including Amanda Spielman, HM Chief Inspector, Ofsted, and contemporary designers and makers. Take part in designer-led taster workshops, introducing the Innovate National Schools Challenge contexts – Eat, Go and Wear - and exploring how design can nurture and equip young people with the confidence and skills to develop, make and articulate solutions for real-world issues. Workshops are being led by:
- Oluwaseyi Sosanya, innovation design engineer and co-founder and CEO of Gravity Sketch
- Tom Gayler, multidisciplinary designer working across digital, physical objects and experience
- Ella Bulley, material designer, creating work that crosses material exploration, textiles, product and the arts
Innovate supports teachers to prepare students for the D&T GCSE, including NEAs, and provides inspiration for STEAM and cross-curricular teaching.
