Richard Batterham: Studio Potter
Join V&A curators and contemporary ceramicist Isatu Hyde for a ceramics workshop inspired by the work of Richard Batterham, one of the most revered potters of his time. You will start the two day workshop with a guided gallery tour of our temporary display, Richard Batterham: Studio Potter, before Isatu guides you through making your own vessel influenced by Batterham's techniques.
You will also have the opportunity to see some of our objects up close with a special handling session led by our curators. On the second day of the workshop, you’ll develop your piece, working with Isatu to decorate your vessel using cutting and mark-making techniques.
This workshop is suitable for those with some experience in working with clay, particularly throwing. All materials provided
