Until November 2019, the museum is able to deliver free outreach sessions to London Hospital Schools, CAMHS units and PRU.

The sessions involve handling a range of objects from the museum’s learning collection – including toys – and are designed to capture the interest of children in alternative educational provision setting through a hands-on interactive experience.

A typical visit might involve your pupils investigating moving or optical toys, with an opportunity to create their own version.

The sessions take into account the reality of life in an alternative setting. Children can join in parts of the sessions if they are undergoing treatment, and objects can also be taken to bedsides where appropriate. All objects are wiped down with anti-bacterial liquid after use.
