The Pyramid is Glastonbury’s iconic main stage. Founded in 1971 as a temporary structure, the Pyramid Stage was rebuilt in 1981 and again in 2000, and hosts spectacular headline acts each Festival year.

Glastonbury Festival has been home to hundreds of stages throughout its history. Stages have launched, changed name or moved location over the years as they constantly evolve to suit the growing needs of the Festival. This site is a work in progress and therefore the data on stages is incomplete.

Other Stage
Glastonbury’s second stage debuted a name change in 1997, becoming known as the ‘Other Stage’. Hosting major acts, the place to watch the Festival’s alternative headliners also has spectacular views looking onto the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury and the Tor.View Stage -
Park Stage
The Park Stage was introduced in 2007 by Emily Eavis. It is the centrepiece of The Park area that includes the Stonebridge Bar, the Rabbit Hole, the Wormhole and the beloved Ribbon Tower.View Stage -
West Holts Stage
The West Holts Stage is one of the major Glastonbury venues. Its name harkens back to Glastonbury’s dairy farm roots and refers to a “halt” or a gate where cows could cross the railway line. Formerly known as the Jazz World Stage, West Holts hosts an eclectic mix of music.View Stage -
John Peel Stage
Renamed in 2004 to honour the late iconic DJ, the venue previously known as the New Bands Tent continues the lifework of its namesake. Championing new music and up-and-coming acts, this stage frequently spotlights performers on the cusp of breakthrough.View Stage -
Main Stage
The first Glastonbury Festival saw a crowd of 2,500 camping around a temporary Main Stage. Built on Michael Eavis’ farm in the Vale of Avalon, the Main Stage returned in 1971 as the now legendary Pyramid Stage.View Stage -
Marquee Stage
The Marquee Stage was founded in 1983 as the second ever Glastonbury stage (after the Pyramid). Over the decades it has evolved into the Second Stage, the World Music Stage, the One World Stage, the Jazz World Stage and has now become the West Holts Stage.View Stage -
Acoustic Stage

Left Field Stage

New Bands Tent
The New Bands Tent featured up-and-coming and under-the-radar bands and acts. It was renamed the John Peel Stage in 2004.View Stage -
NME Stage
The NME stage debuted in 1992 and has hosted legendary performances by Pulp, Blur, Oasis and a seminal headline set by Orbital that launched dance music into the mainstream. It was rebranded as the Other Stage in 1997.View Stage -

Second Stage
