Cotton 'pearls' have been made in Japan for more than 50 years. Not strictly a pearl, they are created by artisans through a process of applying a specially developed lustrous coating over compressed cotton balls. The resulting 'pearl' is vegan, and more lightweight than the alternative - with all the charm and beauty.
