Two Worlds of Wonderland by Kristjana S. Williams – limited edition, signed and numbered print

This original artwork by Kristjana S. Williams conjures the fantastical realms of Lewis Carroll’s work in exquisite detail. The sea creatures perform the Lobster Quadrille, while beneath, Alice tumbles downwards, surrounded by images from the story, including the magic potion labelled ‘Drink me’ and the White Rabbit’s pocket watch. The piece also contains references to Carroll’s life, including the little boat where he first told the story of Alice during a trip along the River Thames, and books about Euclidean mathematics and psychic studies, while mirrors offer a glimpse towards the next pages of the story, reflecting the Lobster Quadrille and the Pool of Tears. 

 

Icelandic-born artist Kristjana has collaborated with the V&A to create this exclusive range of limited edition prints inspired by Alice and her adventures.
