Reflecting the prior use of the land on which the V&A sits as a plant nursery with abundant fruit orchards, artists Austin Young and David Burns were commissioned to create this piece, Fruits from the Garden and Field, to coincide with the exhibition Food: Bigger than the Plate.  The artists, known as Fallen Fruit, have foraged depictions of British fruit from the V&A collection, combining them to create this bountiful, textured design, printed here on a pure cotton tea towel.
