This felt decoration replicates 'Tippoo’s Tiger' – a life-sized wooden sculpture held in the V&A’s South Asia room, and one of the most loved objects in the Museum. 'Tippoo’s Tiger' depicts a tiger mauling a European man, whose screams were allegedly imitated through an organ concealed inside.
This decoration captures the colour of the original artwork, drawing out the tiger’s orange stripes and the man’s hat and uniform. A charming piece of memorabilia, it can be displayed on a surface or hung from a hook or branch. A wonderful gift for V&A enthusiasts not to mention small children.
