Details
The ‘Keep Your Distance’ sign is used on motorways to ensure a safe driving distance between vehicles. As a pin badge it offers a gentle reminder to others to back off; perhaps to fellow road users when worn by cyclists, or fellow passengers when worn on packed public transport.
Inspired by the work of Margaret Calvert and Jock Kinneir, who worked to transform Britain’s road signage in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Their elegant and efficient system, now ubiquitous on Britain’s roads, brought a simple clarity to the travel network.
